First Toa Payoh Primary School Eagle Cub Scout Group had earned the honour of developing the first Cub Scout Archery Training Centre. With the support from the School Management, Toa Payoh District and TP Eagles (Open), Archery Programme for Cub Scouts were launched in 2008. Some 180 Cubs from 5 Units within the District had went through the programme.
Today, FTPPS Eagles together with its brother-Units namely Pei Chun Eagles and Bendemeer Eagles earned the exclusive learning of this high-end programme. It booasted 16 sets of Bow and four (4) Target Boards with total worth of $5,000. The equipment were contributed by parents and old boys from the TP Eagles Family.
With the requisition, the TP Eagle Scouts received regular trainings at their weekly meetings and for the good ones, they will be trained to compete for the coming Pesta Sukan tournaments.
